Rains: 7 trains cancelled in Visakhapatnam, track repair works on

The railway track between Dilimili-Silak Jhori stations in KK Line which had been washed out away due to heavy rains was restored.

Visakhapatnam: Seven trains running between Visakhapatnam and Raipur and Rayagada were cancelled till further notice. 

Moreover, nine trains diverted and two short-terminated as a railway bridge near Rayagada was washed out in the recent flash flood.

The railway track between Dilimili-Silak Jhori stations in KK Line which had been washed out away due to heavy rains was restored.  

The Waltair Divisional Officials rushed to the site and carried out the restoration works on war footing. Repairs to the track, signals and OHE wires at site were done at warfooting and trains admitted with restricted speed by 2 pm.
