CM announces Rs 20 L for each secretariat for priority works

CM also announced the issue of an order allocating Rs 2 cr each for MLAs for taking up developmental works

Vijayawada: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy announced the allocation of Rs 20 lakh for each village/ward secretariat to take up works on a priority basis in addition to the allocation of regular funds.

Taking part in the workshop held on YSR Congress’ Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhuthvam programme held here on Monday the CM said that nearly 87 per cent of the families were availing a series of welfare schemes initiated by our government and asked as to why not they could win all the 175 Assembly segment if they could take their support in the next elections.

He called upon legislators to work hard to reach out to the people under the programme and visit seven secretariats in a month and asked them to take part in the programme for a minimum of 16 days to a maximum of 21 days in a month.

He said that they were going to release Rs 20 lakh in advance to the district collectors pertaining to the MLAs recommended works during their visit to Secretariats and felt the need Tejo come up with an action plan to start such works immediately.

The CM also announced the issue of an order allocating Rs 2 crore each for MLAs for taking up developmental works under the programme as assured earlier.
