TN Health Minister inaugurates cleanliness drive
The sanitation awareness drive as part of Swachhta Hi Seva campaign will hold cleanliness campaigns at all government hospitals.
Chennai: Health minister Dr C. Vijayabaskar inaugurated cleanliness service movement, “Clean Hospitals - Quality Services Campaign” at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital (RGGGH) on Monday. The sanitation awareness drive as part of “Swachhta Hi Seva” campaign will hold cleanliness campaigns at all government hospitals and public health centres till October 2.
Along with various officials along with Health secretary J Radhakrishnan from the State Health Department, medicos from government hospitals, medical and nursing students, scouts, philanthropists and volunteers participated in the campaign.
Emphasizing on the importance of cleanliness at health centers, dean of RGGGH, Narayanan Babu said that hygienic and safe environment in health facilities are critical components for improving patient satisfaction and health facility.
