BJP lashes out at KCR over village revenue exam test
Mr Lakshman said that Telangana women were waiting to teach the KCR family a fitting lesson.
Hyderabad: BJP State President K. Lakshman on Tuesday termed the KCR administration as misogynistic saying that no women are free to carry on her cultural heritage like wearing mangalasutra, sindur and bindis in the name of security at examination centres.
On frisking and removal of mangalasutra from village revenue exam (VRO) pirants at an exam centre in Medak district that has raised a hue and cry, Mr Lakshman said that Telangana women were waiting to teach the KCR family a fitting lesson.
Accusing KCR of being partial to women as a gender despite the fact that 50 per cent of the population comprises women, Mr Lakshman said that the caretaker Chief Minister failed to accommodate a single women in the council of ministers.
The BJP state president said that women self-help groups were shown a raw deal as Rs 2,300 crore of arrears pending towards low interest rate loans (25 paise interest per hundred per annum) and Rs 850 crores pending on account of Abhaya Hastam schemes.
“We have never had such a government which was insensitive to women issues. Women are waiting to hit him with a firm No in the coming elections,” Lakshman said.
