Hyderabad: Ilaiah consoles victim's family

Hyderabad: Amrutha Varshini, the widow of P. Pranay Kumar, should be sent to the legislature like Malala has been sent to United Nations, said prominent activist and professor Kancha Ilaiah at Pranay’s residence in Miryalaguda on Tuesday. He consoled the bereaved family along with other TMAS activists.

He also demanded that a statue of Pranay be put up at Tank Bund. Ilaiah also said that Pranay and Rohit Vemula are icons of the ongoing anti-caste struggles.”

Akunuri Anil Kumar, an IAS officer, said, “This is a caste killing, which shook many across the nation.” He said that media should cover such cases with sensitivity.
