TRS MLA society works put on hold by Hyderabad HC
Hyderabad High Court bench directed all respondents to file their counter affidavits.
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday directed the management of Mamata Educational Society at Khammam, owned by TRS MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar, not to make any further constructions for three weeks on a piece of land that had been regularised by the state government.
A division bench comprising acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice A. Shankar Narayana was dealing with a PIL by Mr Mandadapu Sudhakar Rao, a resident of Khammam district, seeking to declare as unlawful the regularisation of about 2.5 acres under GO Ms No. 59 on December 30, 2014.
The petitioner alleged that the district administration had recommended regularisation of the land ignoring the fact that some individuals owned parts of the same land parcel.
While directing the respondent society not to take up any further constructions, the Hyderabad High Court bench directed all respondents to file their counter affidavits.
