KRS dam water level dangerously low
The inflow into KRS on Friday was 1102 cusecs and the outflow was 190 cusecs.
Mysuru: With the water storage of the Krishna Raja Sagara dam dropping to an alarmingly low 77.23 feet , just three feet away from dead storage on Friday, it has stopped releasing water to canals for irrigation.
After water was released for irrigation last week, the dam had only 81.64 feet of water left on November 12 as against its capacity to hold 124.80 feet. The inflow into KRS on Friday was 1102 cusecs and the outflow was 190 cusecs. On the same day last year its water level stood at 110.86 feet.
Kabini had 2263.94 feet of water on Friday as against its capacity to hold 2284 feet. It had 2269.40 feet of water on the same day last year. Hemavathi had 2864.81feet of water on Friday as against its capacity to hold 2922 feet. Its water level stood at 2875.37 feet the same day last year.
At Harangi the water level on Friday was 2813.16 feet, as against its capacity to store 2859 feet . Last year it had 2798.24 feet of water the same day. The state has so far released 63.354 TMC of water to Tamil Nadu.
