Hyderabad: Roads in IT zone to be recarpeted

The corporation has announced a Rs 1,000 cash award for drivers of garbage compactors attending duty in three shifts.

Hyderabad: Major roads in the IT zone in the city are to be recarpeted. These include the Manjeera road from Hafeezpet, the stretch from NH-9 to Shanthinagar and PJR enclave and Allapur JK Point hotel to VV Nagar crossroads.

The other roads are from Vijayalakshmi Towers to 4th phase of Manjeera Road; Rajiv Gandhi circle to Lodha Apartments; Kalyani theatre and MMR Garden to HAL park; Yellamabanda Indra Gandhi statue to Janmabhoomi Colony bus stop. The road from Allapur JK Point Hotel to SBI Colony will be white-topped.  The road from Tirumala School to SBI Colony via Vivekanandanagar will be widened.

The corporation has announced a Rs 1,000 cash award for drivers of garbage compactors attending duty in three shifts. The money will be contributed by commercial establishments producing bulk garbage.
