Telangana: AK Khan moves Central Administrative Tribunal for pay hike
J.K. Shrivastava, a member (administration) of Hyderabad-based CAT, has admitted the plea.
Hyderabad: The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) has issued notices to the Centre and the Telangana state government and DGP Anurag Sharma on a petition filed by A.K. Khan seeking enhanced pensionary benefits.
Mr Khan, who retired as former director-general of ACB, wants the tribunal to order the government to increase his salary on par with the current DGP and restructure his pensionary benefits.
Mr J.K. Shrivastava, a member (administration) of Hyderabad-based CAT, has admitted the plea. In his petition, Mr Khan stated that Mr Sharma was one year junior to him when Telangana state was formed in June 2014.
However, Mr Sharma was selected as the DGP of the new state in the apex fixed scale of Rs 80,000. He said though he was a senior to Mr Sharma, he was drawing a lesser salary than his junior.
