Hyderabad: Troubled by his father's death and worried about his family, a 25-year-old trainee SI committed suicide on Thursday at the National Industrial Security Academy (NISA). Sachin, who hails from Haryana, hanged himself in the hostel inside the campus.
Police said Sachin was a trainee SI of the Central Industrial Security Force's 43rd batch, and had joined training in October 2016 at NISA. He was staying in Room No: 31 of Abhaya hostel on the NISA campus along with colleague Harmey Singh.
On Thursday morning, after completing PET, he had breakfast and rushed to his room. After sometime, when Harmey came to the room, he found it was latched from the inside. Later, with the help of others, they broke open the door and found Sachin hanging from the ceiling with a cloth.
Police found that he was troubled after his father's death four months ago. Sachin's father Naresh Kumar, an ex-serviceman, died due to ill health. Immediately after that Sachin joined training leaving behind his mother and two sisters. But from the day he joined training he looked depressed. He used to often share his grief with colleagues.
“He was very worried about his mother and sisters and thought that there was nobody to take care of them. He was very depressed,” Jawaharnagar inspector S. Ashok Kumar said, adding that they did not find any suicide note in the room.
Based on a complaint from NISA assistant commandant Murthy, police registered a case of suspicious death.
