2 jawans killed in J&K border firing

On Thursday, a BSF head-constable and a 13-year-old girl were killed in the Pak firing in Ranbir Singh Pura (RS Pura) sector of the IB.

Srinagar: Two jawans, one each from the Border Security Force and the Army and two civilians were killed and 24 others, including two border guards, wounded in Pakistani firing in the latest ceasefire violations along the International Border and the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba, Kathua, Jammu and Rajouri districts on Friday. 

On Thursday, a BSF head-constable and a 13-year-old girl were killed in the Pakistani firing in Ranbir Singh Pura (RS Pura) sector of the IB. 

Amid rising tensions and escalation in the firing incidents in which dozens of residential houses and other properties were damaged, hundreds of families living in close proximity to the border have fled homes and relocated to safer places. Sources said that the injured were shifted to hospital in bullet-proof vehicles.
