Telangana: 10 cops in court over cheating case
According to the FIR, the constables took help from several persons in clearing the test.
Hyderabad: The constables who were arrested by the Crime Investigation Department (CID) in a seven-year-old impersonation case on Thursday were produced in court on Friday.
The 10 constables were working in various police stations in Nalgonda, Suryapet and Miryalaguda and had cheated during the constable recruitment examination in 2010.
The CID sleuths apprehended them after collecting reports from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL). The police had collected the answer scripts of the recruitment test and tallied them with the handwriting in the answer papers with the 10 constables. Based on these reports, the police picked up the cops.
According to the FIR, the constables took help from several persons in clearing the test.
So far, 16 persons have been arrested in the case and investigation is going on against about 90 others.
