Vijayawada: AP SC Corporation chairman Jupudi Prabhakar Rao has refuted the allegations of Union minister Rajnath Singh that AP State Government did not provide information about Kadapa Steel Plant to the BJP Government. He said that the people in AP have been seeking Special Category Status (SCS) and not special treatment and urged the BJP government to give SCS.

Addressing a Press meet at Vijayawada on Saturday, he claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi showed bias towards residuary AP State in sanctioning of funds and further fulfilling of bifurcation assurances. He alleged that Modi did not wish to see Gujarat lagging behind AP and hence, he showed an empty hand to AP since the past four-and-a-half years.

Mr Prabhakar alleged that Mr  Rajnath Singh had levelled baseless allegations on Kadapa Steel Plant., during a BJP meeting held at Kadapa, and claimed that the TD Government had given required  information to the BJP Government several times for constructing the steel plant.

He alleged that the BJP did not give any special treatment to AP State but has been offering special treatment to YSR Congress. He objected to the special treatment and cooperation being given  to YSRC president and Opposition leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and urged the BJP Government to give SCS to AP State and predicted about giving a befitting lesson to BJP and YSRC with their vote power in the coming elections.
