Mamata Banerjee: BJP does not follow courtesy
She also accused the BJP of not following courtesy.
Kolkata: Setting the tune for a “change” of government in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Trina-mul chief Ms Mamata Banerjee on Saturday described the Modi government as an “expired government.” She said One is not important, but this country is important. Please realise it. Collective leadership is very important.”
Referring to leaders of various parties on the question of prime ministerial candidate, Ms Banerjee said: “Sometimes someone points out: who will be our leader? We have so many leaders. The BJP has become leaderless. They have only a PM and a President. But in our coalition, everyone is a leader, worker and organiser. There is no need to worry who will be the PM. After the elections, we will decide the PM.”
The Trinamul chief said: “I will request Chandrababu Naidu to organise a meeting in his state. Let Arvind Kejriwal hold a meeting in New Delhi. We will attend it. If Farooq Abdullah and his son Omar call a meeting in Kashmir, they can call us. We will go. We will also go to Assam.”
She also accused the BJP of not following courtesy. “There is a courtesy in politics. You do not know the courtesy. There is also a lakshmanrekha in politics. You do not accept it,” she said.
