Over 10 hurt in jallikattu near Ariyalur
All the injured were given first aid at the event site itself and one of them was referred to Govt medical college hospital Thanjavur.

Ariyalur: More than 10 persons were injured in a jallikattu event (bull fight) organised as part of the annual Pongal festival of Punitha Anthoniyar Kovil at Kokkudi village near Ariyalur on Saturday.
Official sources said that the event was inaugurated by the Government’s chief whip Thamarai S Rajendran, in which 150 bull fighters and 500 bulls took part.
