P Jayarajan's health stable, say doctors
Dr Sajeev forwarded the report to hospital superintendent Dr M.P. Sreejayan, who will hand it over to the CBI.
KOZHIKODE: The health condition of CPM Kannur district secretary P. Jayarajan has improved, according to Dr C.C. Sajeev, cardiology department head, Government Medical College Hospital, who is treating Mr Jayarajan.
He added that though Mr Jayarajan had complained of a mild chest pain on Thursday, a final report on that will be submitted on Saturday. Dr Sajeev forwarded the report to hospital superintendent Dr M.P. Sreejayan, who will hand it over to the CBI.
“The reports of day 1 and day 2 were handed over, which showed no major complications in the health condition of Jayarajan. Reports regarding the mild chest pain he suffered after he was shifted to the MCH will be ready by tomorrow (Saturday). It is up to the agency (CBI) to decide on the basis of the report when to start the interrogation procedures,” said Dr Sreejayan.
Mr Jayarajan, who was under treatment at Pariyaram Medical College Hospital as a remand accused in the Kathirur Manoj murder case, was shifted to Kozhikode MCH on Monday. Former chief whip P.C. George visited him at MCH and said that “a strong leader has been kept away from the mainstream. The CBI is acting as a tool in the hands of the central government,” he said.
