Youth Cong march with ashes of slain workers

The YC march with the ashes of the two YC workers will be kicked off from Kasaragod on March 2 and will reach Thiruvananthapuram on March 4.

Thiruvananthapuram: Youth Congress state president and vice president Dean Kuriakose and C. R. Mahesh respectively will hold a march from Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram with the ashes of the two YC workers, Kripesh and Sarath Lal who was hacked to death in Kasaragod on Sunday night.

The YC march with the ashes of the two YC workers will be kicked off from Kasaragod on March 2 and will reach Thiruvananthapuram on March 4.  YC State president has also demanded a CBI probe on the brutal killings of the two YC workers.

Dean Kuriakose told DC that the UDF will be holding a fund collection drive to help the members of the family of Kripesh and Sarath Lal on February 25.

“The ashes of the two youths will be immersed at an appropriate place once the YC yatra reaches the capital city. A decision on the venue will be taken eventually by the Congress party. We have also decided to hold protest marches to Police SP offices against the delay in nabbing the culprits of Periya killings on February 23”, said Dean.

Meanwhile, KSU State president K. M. Abhijith has informed that the KSU will take care of the slain leader’s sister’s education.
