Hyderabad: Man touches high tension cable, is critical

Hyderabad: An engineering student who was talking to his friend on his mobile phone suffered an electric shock when he accidentally came into contact with a high tension cable passing over the terrace of a building. Jhito Shobe, who hails from Nagaland, was seriously injured and is now in hospital.
Police said Jhito Shobe, 21, studying engineering II year at St Mary’s Engineering College was staying in a flat nearby. On Saturday at around 10.30 pm, while he was in his room, he received a call on his mobile phone from a friend.Talking to his friend on the mobile phone, he went to the terrace of the apartment and continued the conversation.
“He accidentally came in contact with a 11 KV electric cable passing over the terrace and suffered burns on his face, hands and chest. He collapsed on the terrace shouting loudly,” Hayathnagar inspector J. Narender Goud said.

Police registered a case and informed his parents. They have started for Hyderabad. Doctors said his condition is critical.
