Telangana: Childless soldier ends life
Sandesh was transferred to Secunderabad two years back and was working for the Army Supply Corps.
Hyderabad: An Army soldier ended his life near his barracks in the wee hours of Sunday. Sandesh R., 34, hailing from UP, was found hanging on a tree at around 2 am by his colleagues. The soldier was a 2002 recruit. His brother, Sukesh Kumar, told Trimulgherry police that he was depressed as he did not have a child even after 12 years of marriage. Sandesh was transferred to Secunderabad two years back and was working for the Army Supply Corps. His family is in Uttar Pradesh.
“He was staying here with his wife who left for her hometown two months ago. He was not able to join her as he was not given leave. He had attempted suicide three years back too. No suicide note was found at the place. We are investigating to know more,” said inspector R. Satya-narayana Raju. A case was booked under Section 174 (suspicious death). The body was taken to Gandhi Hospital.
