Qutbullapur TRS MLA takes RTC to assembly
He proposed to submit a report to the government on the problems of commuters after traveling for two more days.
Hyderabad: Out to understand problems faced by those commuting daily by RTC buses, TRS MLA of Qutbullapur K.P. Vivekanand took a bus from Qutbullapur to the Assembly on Monday. He proposed to submit a report to the government on the problems of commuters after traveling for two more days.
A resident of Qutbullapur, the legislator used to travel in RTC buses during his college days. He spoke to commuters and found that Qutubullapur area, which had a good amount of RTC buses earlier, now needed around 50 more buses to ease travel woes.
Mr Vivekanand told Deccan Chronicle, “There is a need for separate buses for students commuting regularly to colleges and institutions in SR Nagar and Kukatpally are unable to get seats. Owing to traffic jams there is also the need for a flyover at Balnagar.”
“I will be travelling by RTC from now on as we will know the problems of the people. Also, more people will be encouraged to use RTC buses. I have noticed that only students from government colleges travel in RTC buses.”
