Hyderabad: Dug-up roads left unattended
Residents complain that the road has become unuseable for four-wheelers.
Hyderabad: Internal roads of West Marredpally were dug-up to lay pipelines but they have not been retopped even after the work was completed. Residents complain that the road has become unuseable for four-wheelers.
Over the last couple of weeks, different stretches of the roads in Marredpally including New Club road, Geeta Nursing Home road and the one at Mahendra Hills are being dug.
“Though work is getting completed, the roads are not being retopped,” said a senior resident Mr N. Subrahmanyam.
Mr Tony Francis complained in a social media post: “The re-carpeting of roads has not been done. This is causing a lot of dust being raised when vehicles pass on these roads.”
He said the dry weather was spreading the dust everywhere. “Residents are suffering from throat infections and breathing problems due to this,” Mr Francis posted, making a special mention of the elderly and children.
