Telangana high court gives interim relief to directors in Sujana case

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court, on Tuesday, gave relief to directors of seven firms that were alleged to be shell companies of Sujana Universal Group of Industries.
This would prohibit the Central GST officials from arresting the petitioner directors until the pronounce its decision on the petitions filed by them challenging the notices issued by the CGST authority.
A division bench comprising Justice V. Ramasubramanian and Justice P. Keshava Rao while reserving the judgment on the petitions filed by the directors of the seven firms, issued interim directions not to arrest them.
Senior counsels Mr Raghunandan Rao and T. Niranjan Reddy while submitting the contentions said that the directors will co-operate with the probe.
