Hyderabad: Teen drowns in private swimming pool

Hyderabad: A 13-year-old boy who was learning swimming at a private swimming pool in a gated community in Motinagar accidentally drowned in the pool. The parents of the victim identified as Hemanth, blamed the pool management for ignoring safety norms at the pool.
Meanwhile, Balala Hakkula Sangham has sought strict action on private swimming pools, for their negligent attitude towards the safety of swimmers.

According to the police, Hemanth a resident of SRT in Sanathnagar went to Motinagar to meet a friend who resides in Vasavi Brindavan Apartments, a gated community under the Sanathnagar police station limits.
Hemanth along with his friend had entered the swimming pool to swim.
Though Hemanth did not know swimming, he entered the pool with his friend and drowned.
