TN government should take action on Raja: V Narayanasamy
He said the BJP secretary is trying to find a place in the minds of people by making derogatory remarks against leaders from other political parties.
Puducherry: Puducherry Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy on Thursday condemned BJP national secretary H. Raja’s remarks on DMK Rajya Sabha MP Kanimozhi and DMK president M. Karunanidhi and said that the Tamil Nadu government should initiate actions against the BJP leader.
Calling the comments made by Mr Raja ‘cheap’, the Chief Minister said the BJP secretary is trying to find a place in the minds of people by making derogatory remarks against leaders from other political parties.
“Mr Raja is trying to divert the attention from issues prevailing in Tamil Nadu including the growing discontent against the Union government on Cauvery issue. The attention from these issues cannot be diverted by any efforts taken by Raja,” said the Chief Minister while talking to news persons here.
The BJP national secretary had triggered a new controversy by calling Kanimozhi an “illegitimate child” of M. Karunanidhi. Commenting on the shortage of currency notes and non-availability of cash in ATMs the Chief Minister said the BJP government at the Centre should bear the responsibility for the current crisis.
“Wrong economic policy of the BJP government led to the current crisis and so the NDA government should shoulder the responsibility of this,” he said. The Chief Minister said that he would write to the Union finance minister on the non-availability of cash in ATMs in Puducherry.
