Only 4 Ooty schools get cent percent pass
Out of 74 schools in the Nilgiris district, 20 schools recorded cent per cent pass.
Ooty: Nilgiris district has registered 90.83 per cent passes in the Plus-2 examinations, results of which were declared on Friday. It is 0.20 percentage more than what it achieved in 2018. Girl students fared better than the boys in the Nilgiris this time.
The results showed that out of 3,284 boys who appeared for the examinations 2,858 have got through adding to 87.03 per cent of pass in the boys category. In the girls category, out of 4,057 who appeared for the examination 3,813 have come out successful adding to 93.99 per cent of passes. In total out 7,341 students who took the examinations, 6,671 have come out with flying colours adding to 90.87 per cent passes this year in Nilgiris.

A private school in Coonoor and a Government school at Cherampadi in Nilgiris border recorded the lowest percentage of pass with 55.56 and 56.86 per cent respectively.
The performance in the government schools category showed that among the 31 government-run schools across the hills, the pass percentage is 84.29 per cent. Out of 2,858 students in the government schools who took examination, 2,409 came out with flying colours. Only four government schools in the hills recorded cent per cent passes.
