Woman biker dies in accident in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: A 33-year-old woman scooter rider was crushed to death after a tempo traveler ran over her on Thursday morning at a busy junction near Banasawadi in Pulikeshinagar traffic police limits.

Police said the deceased has been identified as Sharan Mary Jacob, a housewife and a resident of Richard’s Town in Pulikeshinagar. The accident happened around 11.30 am, when she was returning home from swimming classes.

 Investigations revealed that Sharan took a sudden turn onto the main road from service road and allegedly lost control and fell on the road. A tempo traveler, heading towards Banasawadi, fatally ran over her.

The passersby immediately alerted the police, who reached the spot and arrested the driver, identified as Srinivasalu, and seized the vehicle. Pulikeshinagar traffic police have registered a case.
