Chandrababu Naidu directs officials to prepare action plan for Dwcra groups

He said that he would conduct a review on the action plan on 19th of every month.

Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directed the officials to prepare an action plan along with knowledge partners to increase the income of each Dwcra woman upto Rs 10,000 per month. He said that he would conduct a review on the action plan on 19th of every month. The Chief Minister conducted a meeting on Dwcra groups along with minister Paritala Suneeta and SERP officials on Friday. The Chief Minister asked the officials to look at the possibilities to train Dwcra women in textile sector which has more demand.  He said branding should be provided to the products of Dwcra groups to get more income.

He said 90 lakh Dwcra women in nine lakh Dwcra groups should get Rs 10,000 each per month. The Tata Trust members gave a presentation on the problems to be looked into by the Tata group for women welfare. SERP CEO  P. Krishnamohan said Bharatia Agro Industries Foundation came forward to train women in dairy sector. He said the government identified Tata Trust, several organisations functioning under World Bank and skill development agencies as knowledge partners.

Minister for women and child welfare Paritala Suneeta, SERP principal secretary Solmon Arokyaraj, principal secretary of planning Sanjay Gupta, principal secretary of veterinary department Manmohan Singh, tribal welfare principal secretary R.P. Sisodia, principal secretary of backward classes G. Anantaramu, Inter Board secretary Udayalakshmi, Commisisoner of fisheries Ramsankar Naik, principal secretary of Skill Development Corporation Satyana-rayana and others were present.
