167 properties to be acquired for drain network in Hyderabad
He said that the Corporation would acquire properties only after paying land and structural compensation if title deeds are clear.
Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has begun the acquisition process to strengthen the storm water drain network. It would acquire as many as 167 properties.
The corporation would acquire 72 properties for improving storm water dr-ain from Fox Sagar nala at Navajeevan Nagar Church to Bozai Kalyana Manda-pam. It would also acquire 26 properties for improving the drain at Parki Cheruvu from Dharani Nagar to All-wyn colony in Kukatpally. The civic body has decided to acquire 36 properties to clear the bottlenecks from Alwal Cheruvu to Bon Cheruvu and Mothkulaku-nta Cheruvu to Alwal.
It will acquire 24 properti-es to widen the nala at NMDC colony, Malkajgiri and 11 properties to widen the nala from Kalanikethan Bridge to Musi river, Chait-anyapuri nala and Hanum-an Nagar to Ganesh Nagar.
The GHMC official said that the Corporation will soon issue a notification to receive claims and objection from the property owners and a final notification will be issued by the District Collectors concerned. He said that the Corporation would acquire properties only after paying land and structural compensation if title deeds are clear.
