YSCR senior leader Peethala Murthy Yadav on Wednesday submitted a huge list of documents to the Special Investigation Team that is inquiring into the alleged tampering of land records and grabbing of land in the city.

Visakhapatnam: YSCR senior leader Peethala Murthy Yadav  on Wednesday submitted a huge list of documents to the Special Investigation Team that is inquiring into the alleged tampering of land records and grabbing of land in the city. Talking to mediapersons after submitting the documents, Mr Yadav said that 16,375 FMB copies, 223 village maps, 375 settlement registers and 2.95 lakh fair adangal copies had missing over the last few years, leading to a major land scam in the district. He alleged that ruling party MLA V Ramakrishna Babu had grabbed 10 acres of land in Rushikonda and registered them in his wife’s name. He claimed that a private university had grabbed 55 acres of government land in the same area.

Mr Yadav alleged about 3,000 square yards of government land was grabbed by some revenue officials; some persons had taken over 10 acres of freedom fighters land in Kommadi; 600 acres of reserve forest was grabbed; around 400 acres of land belonging to Mudapaka village under Pendurthy mandal was grabbed in the name of land pooling proposed by VUDA, among others.

BJP Floor leader in the AP Assembly P. Vishnu Kumar Raju, the Vizag North MLA, will submit some documents to the Special Investigation Team. Mr Raju said the documents would show how private land documents were tampered by the land grabbers with the help of ruling party members.
