Hyderabad: Pregnant denied special seat at exam
She could not walk to the exam hall on the fourth floor because she is pregnant.
Hyderabad: A 25-year-old first year MA student of Osmania University alleged that she was not allowed to write the exam by the management of Scholars Degree College for Women, Gaddianaram-Dilsukhnagar. She could not walk to the exam hall on the fourth floor because she is pregnant. Hence, she requested the management to allot a seat on the ground floor or to allow her to write the exam in the principal’s office. Ms Tasleem went to her examination centre on Thursday and she was not given another room on the ground floor.
Ms Tasleem Sultana told DC, ''I asked them to make me sit on the ground floor instead of the fourth floor which they allotted me, the staff member said it's not possible instead you can walk slowly and climb up. There was no other way for me to accept but to come home without writing the exam.''
Mr Amjed Ullah Khan, spokesperson of MBT, said, “It’s very disgusting that the management of Scholars Degree College for Women, Gaddianaram had done to a pregnant lady. I demand a very strict action against the management by the Hyderabad police and also the OU. I demand that the said victim should be allowed again to write her exam paper which she could not write and should be allowed to write further exams on ground floor.”
