Hyderabad: Inox booked for playing ads
A case was booked the management of Inox Leisure Private based on a complaint filed by activist Vijay Gopal.
Hyderabad: Sultan Bazaar police booked a case against Inox, Kacheguda, for allegedly playing an extended session of advertisements during the screening of a film.
According to the police a case was booed under the AP Cinemas Regulation Act against the management of Inox Leisure Private based on a complaint filed by activist Vijay Gopal.
Mr Gopal said, “I had visited the multiplex on June 22 to watch a movie. I got frustrated with the advertisements which went on for nearly 20 minutes which is against the rules. Following this I approached the Sultan Bazaar police and lodged a complaint”.
He said, “The sub-inspector called me on June 27 and told me that it is not in their juristiction.”
Subsequently Mr Gopal went to the consumer forum and filed a petition making the police commissioner a party in the case.
The forum sent a notice to the Hyderbad police commissioner following which a case was booked on Inox Leisure Private Limited management.
