HC Directs TS and AP to Furnish DSC 2008 Merit List

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Thursday directed Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments to furnish the merit list of DSC- 2008 exams and the existing vacancies in secondary grade teachers’ posts in each state within four weeks.

The division bench, headed by acting Chief Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavili, said that the batch of petitions related to DSC-2008 would be adjudicated on the availability of the merit list of the exams conducted as per the DSC notification 2008.

The bench was dealing with a batch of petitions pending for a long time, which challenged the 30 per cent quota in SGT posts to D.Ed candidates. B.Ed candidates, who were aggrieved with the provision, approached the High Court. Following the earlier directions of the court, Andhra Pradesh government accommodated eligible candidates in temporary posts. Now, they have approached the court seeking regular postings whereas most of the candidates from Telangana State were not provided any relief.
