Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at TNGOs Bhavan on Monday after 20 TS employees locked up themselves inside the building holding petrol-filled bottles and threatening to immolate themselves if the state government failed to repatriate them from AP immediately.

They lashed out at Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and minister K.T. Rama Rao for failing to keep their promise of bringing them back to Telangana for the past one year. They said over 700 Class III and IV employees belonging to TS had been allotted to AP during bifurcation of staff by the Kamalnathan committee; they were facing several problems.

They alleged that AP officials and staff were harassing them and they would no longer work in Velagapudi. Despite TNGOs honorary president G. Deviprasad and others trying to persuade them, they refused to backout until a firm assurance.  Following this, Mr Rama Rao assured them to bring back all TS employees working for AP by Dasara.
