Hyderabad: Medical student commits suicide, no note found
'It is a case of suicide by self-injection by administering excess dose of saline,' police said.
Hyderabad: A 27-year-old woman PG medical student has allegedly committed suicide by injecting excess saline at her house in Jambagh here, police said.
Shravani, who hails from Suryapet town in Telangana, was a postgraduate student of Anasthesia Department at Osmania Medical College and she self-inflicted excess saline in her left hand last night resulting in her death, they said.
"It is a case of suicide by self-injection by administering excess dose of saline," Afzalgunj Police Station Inspector C Anjaiah told PTI.
Based on preliminary investigation, she resorted to the extreme step apparently due to some family problems and health issues, the Inspector said, adding no suicide note was found.
Some reports said her marriage was fixed recently and she was not interested for that. One of her friend noticed her lying on the bed and after getting suspicious informed police.
A case under section 174 CrPC was booked in connection with the incident. Further probe is on.
