Cattle roaming on roads caught, auctioned for Rs 37,500 in Vellore
The officials have informed that they will continue to act until further orders.

Vellore: Following a spike in the number of accidents and increasing traffic congestion due to unmonitored cattle sauntering on the roads of Vellore, district collector Shanmuga Sundaram had announced that the cattle roaming on the streets will be captured by the corporation officials and auctioned.
As per the collector's instruction, 17 cows roaming near the old bus stand in Arcot road were caught and auctioned in zone 2 for Rs 37,500. The officials have informed that they will continue to act until further orders.
