Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation seeks police nod for rock blasting

The project will be constructed under phase III of TS government flagship Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP).

The GHMC says the area is being maintained as a garbage transfer station. Harichandana Dasari, GHMC west zone commissioner, said, We have started rectifying the problems residents are facing after it came to our notice.

Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has decided to construct 4-lane elevated corridor from Jubilee Hills Road No. 45 to Durgam Cheruvu at a cost of Rs 150 crore. The project will be constructed under phase III of TS government flagship Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP) 
A GHMC official said that the corporation has been completing the ground work and that it had already finished the evaluation process and would seek the permission from police in order take up the rock blasting. He said that the GHMC will start the flyover construction in a month and complete it in 15 months. The corporation has already finalised the tender process. M. Venkat Rao Infra Projects Ltd has the bagged the project. 

The official also said, corporation under phase II of SRDP will also construct multi-level flyovers/grade separators at Botanical Garden, Kothaguda and Kondapur junction at a cost of '199.36 crore.
