Hyderabad: Woman hit by tanker dies in hospital

Hyderabad: A beautician heading to work on her bike died after a speeding water tanker hit her from the rear. The woman fell on the road, received head injuries and died while undergoing treatment on Wednesday morning, said Miyapur police.

The driver has been booked under Section 304 A, Miyapur police said, Parpalli Nishitha, 20, a resident of Miyapur, who works as a beautician was heading towards Bachupally on Wednesday morning. When she reached Nagulamma temple, a speeding water tanker rammed her bike.

Nishitha received head injuries and was immediately rushed to Kims Hospital in Kondapur where she succumbed to her injuries.

Based on a complaint from her father P. Nagabhushanam, a case has been registered against the accused driver and he has been taken into custody, for further action, said the police.
