Hyderabad: Movie ticket rates for the four movies realising on Friday have been increased without any intimation to the public or permission from the cinematography department.  The four films are Dabbang 3, Ruler, Prati Roju Pandaage and Donga. Among these, Salman Khan’s Dabbang 3 and Balakrishna’s Ruler are big budget movies. Tickets online are being charged Rs 200 though the actual pricing has to be Rs 138.

The cinematography department has the authority to give permission to theatre owners to increase ticket rates with prior notification. A senior member of cinema fraternity said, "This is loot from the general public. The enforcement agencies have to come into action when such wrong practices are happening. We see the tickets are sold openly with the hiked prices but we fail to see any action from the government."
