Three Cops on President's Bandobast Injured in Freak Mishap at Pochampally

 Hyderabad: Three police personnel were injured in a freak mishap at Pochampally of Yadadri Bhongir district during President Droupadi Murmu’s visit on Wednesday. The incident happened during the landing of three choppers of the Indian Army, including one with the President onboard. The floor mat near the helipad was disturbed by wind turbulence and caught the cops in it.

Traffic ACP Srinivas Rao broke his right arm, while others sustained minor injuries in the incident. The ACP is being treated in a private hospital and is stated to be out of danger.

The incident occurred at around 11 am, when the police were waiting for the president’s arrival at Pochampally for visiting a handloom and spinning unit and theme pavilion of the textiles ministry.
