AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu hopeful of more investments from Davos

The CM will be attending five key meetings, and also one-on-one meetings with global CEOs.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu reiterated that the drought-hit Rayalaseema region would soon turn as a rich horticulture hub after the completion of HNSS project and diversion of Krishna river from Srisailam.

Vijayawada: The Chief Minister’s Davos visit is aimed at bringing in more investments in five prominent sectors.

Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed the hope that this visit would support Andhra Pradesh a lot in the form of new investments in the happening sectors, and also help the growth of the industrial sector in AP.

The CM will be attending five key meetings, and also one-on-one meetings with global CEOs.

In fact, Mr Naidu met SUEZ environment CEO Marie-Ange Debon during his to Davos last year. He proposed possible collaboration in the areas of water treatment and waste to energy projects. 

Zurich State government office for economy and labour general manager Bruno Sauter had then said that a sister-state relation between Andhra Pradesh and Zurich State could be worked out. An agreement in accordance to that promise is expected to be signed between AP and Zurich, during Mr Naidu’s visit. 

WEF Global Universities Leadership Forum chairman Nicholoas Dirks had promised that he would speak to some of the universities to associate themselves with Andhra Pradesh.  On this visit, it is hoped that Mr Naidu will have a dialogue once again with some of the universities and a few deals will be clinched.

During Mr Naidu’s meeting with Ms Debon, water management and waste management were focus of their talks.
