During her night rounds sub-inspector R. Ashwini told them not to create a public nuisance and leave the place. They picked up a fight and misbehaved with her.

Immediately the constables, who were accompanying her, took them into their custody and registered a case. The accused have been identified as Jittu, 22, Vidyananda, 26, Akhil, 25 and Sachin, 25 all residents of Thippasandra.

The Commissioner said that in most incidents the accused were under the influence of alcohol and in some cases the culprits did not have any criminal background. A special team has been formed to nab the culprits of J.J. Nagar and Kogehalli incidents, he added. He directed the police to check to take strict action against bars violating the rules related to closing time.
