We won't hijack BJP MLAs: Congress leader HM Revanna
The BJP leaders don't have to engage in resort politics in Haryana (where the MLAs are now holed up),\" he said.
Mysuru: Congress leader and former minister Mr H.M. Revanna said that the ruling coalition will not indulge in hijacking BJP MLAs to save the government.
Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, he said, "It is not just Mr B.S. Yeddyurappa (BJP state president), even PM Mr Narendra Modi and BJP national president Mr Amit Shah are trying to de-stabilise the coalition government. This is not a good development. We have all the support of our MLAs. Even if independents withdraw support, the government will not fall. The BJP leaders don't have to engage in resort politics in Haryana (where the MLAs are now holed up)," he said.
On allegations of an attack on Vijaynagar Congress MLA Mr Anand Singh at the Eagleton Resort, he said, "It is fake news. Even I was with him. We were having a discussion related to the Lok Sabha elections."
Mr Revanna also said he was aspiring for the Congress ticket for Bengaluru North Lok Sabha constituency as he enjoyed a good relationship with people there and had even served as the MLA of Hebbal and Magadi Assembly seats. “But Mr H.D. Deve Gowda (JD-S) supremo has sought the same constituency for his party. Leaders of both parties will decide on this," he said.
