Congress Yatra reaches Kurnool

Kurnool: AP PCC chief N. Raghuveera Reddy has said that the Congress is the only party maintaining consistency with regard to Special Category Status to AP.

He said that the Congress party is known for keeping its promises and people of the state were looking at AICC president Rahul Gandhi to keep his promise. He was speaking at Pratyeka Hoda Bharosa Yatra, organised by the Congress, that had reached  Kurnool on Wednesday evening from Anantapuram. Meanwhile, large number of party activists participated in the rally in the city from Gooty Road to Rajvihar Circle.

Later, the DCC organised a public meeting at Rajvihar, the PCC chief said that the Central government, headed by the BJP, had failed to implement the assurances given to AP.

He criticised that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has only concentrated to increase his assets and political benefits. “BJP Government has lost trust among the people by introducing unwanted issues  such as Triple Talaq, GST and demonetisation among others,” the Congress leader said. Both the TD and BJP  are cheating the people by giving false statements regularly, he alleged. He said that the Congress  was on a revival mode and restructuring was underway in AP to make Rahul Gandhi the next PM. He said that development of AP is only possible with the Congress and Rahul Gandhi will give the first sign with the announcement papers of Special Category Status. to AP, after he assumes Prime Minister post by 2019 general elections.
