Each Andhra Pradesh district getting Rs 3 crore for providing drinking water
Government is going to set up 1, 20,000 borewells in the entire State under NTR Srujala' scheme.
Machilipatnam: The Andhra Pradesh Government has allotted Rs 3 crore to each district for providing drinking water to the people, Excise and BC Welfare Minister K Ravindra said on Thursday.
Besides allocating Rs 3 crore to each district, the Government is going to set up 1,20,000 borewells in the entire State under ‘NTR Srujala' scheme this summer, he said at a press conference here in Krishna district. A new administrative building worth Rs 5 crore will be constructed for Machilipatnam Municipality, he said.
Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Narayana will laid the foundation stone of the building on April 27, Ravindra said. A number of development activities are under progress in Machilipatnam, he added.
