Kochi: Road shows to mark grand finale
The LDF has planned a day-long road show starting from 8 a.m. to culminate at Palarivattom in the evening.
Kochi: Ernakulam is set to witness the grand finale of the arduous election campaigns of the three major fronts on Sunday evening. Massive meetings will be held at Palarivattom, Town Hall and Kaloor junction marking the end of the public campaigns by the three candidates-
P. Rajeev of the LDF, Hibi Eden of the UDF and Alphonse Kannamthanam of the NDA respectively.
The LDF has planned a day-long road show starting from 8 a.m. to culminate at Palarivattom in the evening. The road show will commence from Poothotta and traverse through Tripunithura, Thrikkakkara, Kalamas-serry, Paravur, Vypeen, Kochi and Ernakulam Assembly segments before the final show. In each of these segments, the candidate will be accompanied by a motorcade of party workers and supporters.
The UDF will conclude its campaign at Town Hall which will be preceded by a march from the central election committee office at Manapatty Parambu junction. The procession will be attended by hundreds of workers and supporters. The UDF leaders will host road shows at major vantage points in the city and all the Assembly segments of the Parliament constituency.
The NDA is also planning a grand finale at Kaloor junction. Alphons Kannamthanam will start the day with Easter celebration at the Chavara Cultural Centre and then attend the scheduled meetings in each of the Assembly segments.
