CM Jagan virtually launches e-stamping services
Vijayawada: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy virtually launched the e-stamping services of the Stamps and Registrations Department here on Friday. This will help people pay registration fees and stamp duty directly after preparing the documents themselves.
Now, people can make payments through website www.shcilestamp.com or through an e-stamping app on mobile using digital payment UPIs and other methods or even by cash after ascertaining the value.
The facility is available at more than 1400 branches of SBI, Union Bank and APCOB, CSE centers, stamp venders and Stock Holding Corporation branches. Soon, it would be made available at another 1000 centers.
Stock Holding Corporation of India, which maintains the records of the Stamps and Registrations Department, is extending the e- stamping services.
Officials said the Registration and Stamps Department introduced the ‘e-stamp’, a new system replacing the existing stamp vendors’ system, wherein a vendor sells stamps for registration and other documentation purposes.
They said the e-stamp will have all the key information including the name and other details of the purchaser and will be printed directly by the authorised selling centres.
As the total amount paid by the customer will also be printed on the e-stamp, it can also serve as a receipt for the payment.
Deputy chief ministers Narayana Swamy, Satyanarayana, Mutyala Naidu, energy minister Ramachandra Reddy, revenue Minister Prasada Rao, IT adviser Seshi Reddy, Special CS Rajat Bhargava, stamps and registrations commissioner Ramakrishna, DIG Srinivasa Rao, and representatives of SHCI were present.
