Mysuru: She is  90-year-old and frail, but Kalyanamma, who lives on the streets of Mysuru,  joined the over 400 people queuing up near the government guest house in Nazarbad from as early as 6am to meet Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday.

From  Srirangapatna taluk,  she poured out her troubles to him at his public grievance meeting in Mysuru. 

When she told him that her daughter and son- in- law had taken over her house and farmland and  thrown her out. Mr Siddaramaiah directed the in-charge IGP (Southern Range), Dr Subramanyeswara Rao to inquire into the issue and make sure she got justice. 

A 44–year-old former convict,  M K Mahadev, who served 14 years in the Mysuru centrail jail for murder and was released on  January 26, 2016, too approached the Chief Minister saying he had neither a house nor work to take care of his family. Coming to his rescue, Mr Siddaramaiah directed Mysuru city corporation commissioner, Jagdish to get him a loan from the  Ambedkar Corporation.

Another complainant happened to be a former classmate of the Chief  Minister when he did his  LLM in 1972.  Mr N G Sanjeev of K R Vanam, who served as public prosecutor on contract from 2003 to 2012, told him he had not received his arrears for four years. 

 When approached by Ms Nagamma, wife of late District Congress Committee member,  M S Siddeswara who appealed to him to get her Muda site as her husband had already applied for it,  Mr Siddaramaiah directed MUDA Commissioner, Mahesh to help her out. 

He also sanctioned Rs 2 lakh  for the family of the teenager, Harshal who died from burn injuries suffered on land spouting fire in Shyadanahalli in Mysuru taluk.
