Chennai: Despite Neet, around one lakh plus-2 students have sought the copy of their answer scripts this year. In plus-2 exams, students recorded 92.1 per cent pass percentage this year.

The centum in key subjects like Biology and Chemistry have come down this year. Maths and Physics have witnessed a slight increase compared to last year.
Of the important subjects, more students sought the answer scripts in Maths and Chemistry subjects.

The admissions to MBBS and BE, B.Tech. courses in the state were conducted based on the plus-2 marks. So, nearly one lakh students will seek their answer scripts to check whether they have any scope of getting higher marks in the revaluation or retotalling.

As of now, only Neet qualified will get the admission to the medical courses. So, it is expected that the number of students seeking copy of their answer scripts will go down.

“In view of the common medical entrance test, a tough competition is being expected in agriculture and veterinary courses this year. So, the students and parents are eager to know whether they will have any chance to improve the cut-off marks,” another teacher said. Only those who sought answer scripts are eligible to apply for revaluation. Of 3,422 students who sought the revaluation of their plus-2 answer sheets, over 2,000 students got their marks revised last year.
