Special clinics to check on fever in Perambra
An expert on fever diseases, Dr C. Michel of city beach hospital, explained the measures to be taken.
KOZHIKODE: An emergency meeting here on Sunday decided to set up special fever clinics in Perambra and also special isolation wards to check its spread. District collector U.V. Jose who heads the task force to combat the viral fever also appealed cooperation of all healthcare institutions to ensure active resistance and treatment measures on a war-footing. He warned against the spread of fake information on social media. Only DMO will be giving authorised information.

The meeting also reviewed steps taken so far to control the spread of viral fever in Perambra and to allay fears. Health services director Dr R.L. Saritha and other top officials and representatives of Indian Medical Association also participated. A circular asked the people to seek expert treatment for symptoms like fever, headache, unconsciousness, hallucination etc. at the special clinics immediately.
