Kakinada: Arrangements in place for May 23 event

Only the candidates and counting agents will be allowed in the counting hall.

Kakinada: The district administration has made arrangements for counting of votes on May 23 while district collector Karthikeya Misra holds frequent meetings with ROs, AROs and counting personnel. Superintendent of Police Vishal Gunni asked the police personnel to ensure that law and order situation is maintained and no untoward incidents is reported.

Only the candidates and counting agents will be allowed in the counting hall. Officials have asked the candidagtes not to take out processions without taking permissions from the officials after counting.

On Monday evening, Kakinada Parliament assistant returning officer Sumit Kumar Gandhi, convened a meeting with candidates and counting agents.

He said that no  cell phones or any other electronic gadgets will not be allowed except ROs, AROs and observers into the building.
